SOME BACKGROUND

Lit Events to Attend has evolved from This Week’s Shows, which was run by Norman Cristofoli, and was pivotal in keeping the art scene in Toronto strong.

Since Norman’s This Week’s Shows wrapped in December 2017, the public demand to keep this amazing forum on-going has not stopped!

The Artis is honoured to be able to help take the torch to keep the Arts Scene strong with the amazing people that continue to run events, create art, and attend and support the arts.

Point blank: Everything is right here—the GTA has the most diverse and versatile art scene in the country.

Our events page runs months in advance.

We want to make it easy for you and your friends to plan ahead the reading series’ you love the most or that anticipated book-launch, whether you live in the GTA or are planning to visit—because we know a lot of us artists tend to be traveling nomads or go on tour.

In addition, we are planning to start listing events in other provinces—so you and your friends never need to miss a show, no matter where you are.
