Oakville Poetry and Prose

  • 67 Bront Rd., Bronte Road Oakville, ON, L6L 3B7 Canada (map)

A Taste of Colombia cafe's studio

Hope you're still out and about even though it's the middle of winter. I hope you're also using the time to stay in the warmth with ye olde quill and ink, writing lots of ye new stuffe, sans laudanum!

Please come earlier to choose your seat and get settled in. Please also buy a coffee and snack - even if it's banana bread to take home for later - because the cafe's owners are so good to us, supporting the arts and letting us have this space for free. It is truly kind of them, doing their part for the arts community.

As always, there will be a 3-minute per person open mic. We will also have a guest speaker, poet and artist Meena Chopra, who will talk/read to us for 20 minutes and then take questions. She is an interesting and well-known member of the Mississauga arts community.

So - add the date to your diary, and come enjoy an afternoon of friendship and readings, not to mention the best cappucinos and scones in the area. Or else try the homemade soups and salads...

Note: do not park in the large parking lot (Denninger's). Instead, park either in the small one right behind the cafe or on the street.
