The YTGA Open Mic Series is back this month with special featured performer ALYESTAL HAMILTON!

From the pages of North American literary journals, the stages of London, England, and the walls of Uganda, Alyestal serves her audience an awe inspiring experience as a speaker, writer, and spoken word poetess. She works tirelessly at cultivating herself as the voice of perseverance, self-love, and faith while encouraging her audience to believe “YOU are power”.

You can email programming@studio.89.org ahead of time to reserve a performance slot, but there may be a few spots available the night of the event. Open mic slots will be around 5 minutes, with a little more if there is time.

There is NO cover charge. Please bring any backing music on a phone or mobile device as opposed to a USB stick. There will also be a small, two-input acoustic amp, and two microphones available. Our last event in September was a great success; see you there!
